Notes:There's been a bank robbery in Blight City and Sheriff Bo Tully is on the case. While he's tracking a suspect in the mountains, the man is shot. All the evidence seems to be pointing to Gridley Shanks, a local character, and his two accomplices. Grid insists it's just an incidental convergence. Bo finds four more bodies, an old couple and two more bank robbery accomplices. He finally figures out Grid had the first robber killed by one of the accomplices, killed the couple because they saw him hide the bank loot and then killed his accomplices to make it look like they did it.

The plot was interesting enough but the book was filled with typos, contradictions, repetitions and side trails that had nothing to do with the plot.
