There were essays in here that I would rate an 8, but a lot of them seemed just like filler — saying something just to fill a monthly column. There were a few with laugh-out-loud bits and a couple that were good but sad. Occasionally he got so technical about the gear, particularly when talking about hunting, that I struggled to figure out what he was talking about.
