| Notes: | Brian Roberson is 13 when his parents divorce. He travels in a small plane to visit his father who is working on the oil fields in the Arctic. On the way, the pilot has a heart attack and dies. Brian manages to crash the plane into a lake and survive. For the next 54 days, with only an ax, he learns to live in the wilderness, catching fish and grouse, building a shelter and fire. A tornado rips through and pushing the tail of the plane above the water. Brian floats out to it and rips through the fuselage to find a survival kit which includes an emergency transmitter. Within hours, a bush pilot lands and rescues him. |
