Review - Wake of the Prairie Schooner

This took me a long time to read. The author did a good job of describing the dangers and challenges of traveling the trail, but the point by point description of the trail itself got very redundant. And while referring to her own trip to retrace the trail, I never got much of a sense of her or her husband as personalities. It was all a lot dryer than it should have been, punctuated by scattered purple passages that were much overwritten.
