The goal was to be inside the park for every pitch of 30 games in 30 different stadiums in 30 days. The goal wasn't to actually watch the games. They spent some of the time watching, but some exploring or eating or sleeping. So I'm not sure what they accomplished, exactly. And the book isn't about baseball or about the games or what it means to be a fan. It's about them and their stupid/heroic quest and how they became better friends and whatever. It could have been interesting, but it wasn't.
