Review - Camino Island
Very slow moving. Most of the novel is about Mercer hobnobbing with Cable and his friends. There are no likable characters and no suspense. Just dull.

| Notes: | Thieves break into the library at Princeton and steal manuscripts for five F. Scott Fitzgerald novels. They end up in the hands of Bruce Cable, a bookseller on the coast of Florida. A security firm suspects him and convinces Mercer Mann, a writer, to visit the island and join Cable's circle to gather what information she can. The end up having a fling. Mercer gets the evidence, but Cable has figured out who she is. He gets the manuscripts off to France and sends them back to Princeton for a huge ransom. Meanwhile, the original thieves all get caught. |
