Notes:Part of the Henry Wiggens' series.

The manager of the New York Mammoths dies. Star pitcher Henry Wiggens, who is 39 years old, thinks he'll be named the next manager, but instead he's released. His youngest daughter, Hilary, screams when she doesn't get her way, so Henry always gives her what she wants. In this case, she wants to see him pitch in the majors because her mother and three sisters got to see him. Henry travels around the country and even to Japan trying to hook up with another team. In the meantime, he becomes a broadcaster. Finally, mid-season, he is signed by California, which is only half a game out of first. Henry pitches great for a couple weeks, and California is in first. But then Henry is hit by a line drive and decides he's done after all. Hilary never saw him pitch after all, but she doesn't care because she's always off riding the horse he bought her when she screamed for one.

Review - It Looked Like For Ever

Uses the same gimmicks—bad grammar and bad spelling—as the first three books, but it's not that funny here. Henry isn't a very likeable character, and those around him are just weird. The entire book really had no reason to exist.
