Notes:Bertie has problems. First of all Florence Craye wants to marry him. Second, G. D'Arcy Cheesewright wants to pound him into little pieces because he blames Bertie for the fact that Florence no longer wants to marry him. Third, Aunt Dahlia hocked the pearl necklace her husband Tom gave her and replaced it with a fake. Tom is having an appraiser out to look at it, and Dahlia wants Bertie to figure out how she can get out of the fix she's in. Of course, Bertie doesn't help her do anything—Jeeves steps in and saves the day by faking the theft of the necklace. Meanwhile, Florence falls for a lad who plans on turning her novels into plays, and Cheesewright falls for an attractive writer.

Review - Bertie Wooster Sees It Through

Perhaps this one wasn't as entertaining as other Wodehouse books I've read. Or perhaps I just wasn't in the mood (it being the middle of the Covid-19 quarantine). Anyway, except for some amusing turns of phrase, it was rather a struggle to get through.
