Notes:Briddey works for a company that develops smart phones. She and her boyfriend Trent decide to get an operation that will enable them to sense each other's emotions. C.D., the engineer at her company warns her not to. The operation unintentionally gives her the ability to hear others thoughts, which overwhelms her. C.D., who already has telepathy, comes to her rescue and teaches her how to filter the thoughts. Briddey finds out Trent just wanted her to get the operation to help with research for a new phone. She breaks up with him and falls for C.B. Somehow Briddey's niece figures out how to eliminate all the voices except for her own, Briddey's, and C.B.'s.

Review - Crosstalk

Waaaaaaay too long. Tons of extraneous, uninteresting characters. A real crisis. And an ending that was too sci-fi complicated to make sense. I made it all the way through, but read at my fastest pace and couldn't wait for it to be over.
