Notes:A woman arrives at a boarding house run by Matt's mother. She takes a room and falls asleep—for a week. Her picture is put in the paper and three people show up at the hospital claiming they know who she is. Leon says she's his niece, an heiress. Bobbie says she's her daughter, an actress, and Alfreda says she's a patient at her clinic. Matt investigates with Betty, a young girl who also boards at the house. Things get more confused when an identical-looking woman is found dead. Matt, Betty, and the police finally figure things out. Leon killed his niece for her money, then hired the actress to pretend to be the niece. The actress' twin sister (the patient) is the sleeping woman. There are a couple more murders and attempted murders, but all is finally resolved.

Review - Dream of Fair Woman

The basic plot was interesting and had me guessing, but there was a great deal of psycho-babble about Matt dreaming that he was in love with the sleeping woman while Betty was jealous because she loved Matt. Sections of this were in near stream-of-consciousness that left me confused and uninterested.
