Notes:Curtis, struggling travel writer, checks into a resort on the south coast of Italy. He attempts to woo Nora, but she only has eyes for Simon, the manager of the resort. Instead, Curtis has a fling with Gillian. But all is not what it seems. Curtis is really an investigator tracking down a man named Conte who stole an ancient chart from a bank. After bumbling about for a while, Curtis, Nora, Gillian, and Simon find themselves locked in an underground chamber filled with treasure—locked there by Conte who plans on taking the treasure for himself. They are rescued from the chamber, and Curtis tracks down and kills Conte on the beach.

Review - Coast of Fear, The

It took entirely too long to get going and, instead, wandered about with descriptions of flings and weather and food. It was better when the plot actually started to make sense, but by that time, I had ceased to care about any of the characters.
