When Kate's grandmother Katherine moves back into town, she brings a secret. She's a time traveler, sent out by an organization called CHRONOS, who visits past events as a historian. Katherine's husband and one of her daughters, both time travelers, have gone rogue, using a religion called Cyrist to control events. As a result, Kate's very existence is in jeopardy. She has to go back to the Chicago World's Fair in 1893 to save Katherine. But if she does, her boyfriend Trey will forget her. Kate goes back, gets caught up with mass murderer Dr. Holmes, manages to escape, rescues Katherine and returns to her own time. Trey has forgotten her, but Kate starts things up with him again.

Review - Timebound

It was well written, and I wanted to like it, but it was too complicated — I never understood all the different timelines or who, exactly, the bad guys were and what they were trying to do.
