Notes:Essays. The ones on the Illinois State Fair and a voyage on a cruise ship were interesting and funny. The one on playing tennis in high winds was OK. The one on post-postmodern culture and TV was alternately brilliant and over my head. I didn't read a second one on tennis or one on some novel I've not read.
My Rating: 6

Review - A Supposedly Fun Thing I'll Never Do Again

Wallace is good at making fun of things but also admitting when things/people are good. In other words, he neither leaves himself out or becomes overly cynical.
