| Notes: | Skylar is a southern boy with a gift for music. He's content to hang around the family farm and chill with his friend Dufus and girlfriend Tandy. Jonathan, his cousin from Boston comes for a visit and they clash because of their different backgrounds. When a daughter and son of a neighbor are killed, Sheriff Pepp decides Skyler is guilty and has him thrown in jail. Skyler escapes and investigates on his own. When the kids' father and the Sheriff's own wife is found dead, the Sheriff basically tells everyone in town to shoot Skyler on sight. But Skyler is as step ahead — he's figured out that the kids' father has killed them to get their inheritance to pay gambling debts. When he realized he wouldn't get away with it, he staged a shoot-out to get himself killed by men he owed money to. The Sheriff killed his own wife so he could marry a waitress. Just before the Sheriff kills Skyler, a guy from town who heard everything shoots the Sheriff. Tandy threatens to marry another boy if Skyler doesn't go to college. |
