Review - High Lonesome
It passed the time while I was driving across the Florida panhandle. I have nothing further to say about it.

| Notes: | Listened to the audio book on my trip to Florida. Considine forms an outlaw band with three other men. He decides to rob a bank in the town where his old friend, Pete Runyon, is sheriff. The two parted ways when Pete married the girl Considine wanted to marry. On his way to the town, the outlaws meet an old ex-outlaw and his daughter, Lennie. Considine and Lennie are attracted, but they part ways. After the robbery, the gang is headed to Mexico when they find the tracks of Lennie and her father and realize they're being tracked by Indians. Considine decides to help, and his gang-mates go along. There's a big fight, and Considine's men are all killed. Pete shows up with his posse and scare off the Indians. Considine hides, and Pete decides to let him go — figuring that his heroic fight for the old man and the girl redeems him from the robbery. Pete and the posse take the money back to the bank. Considine goes to California with Lennie. |
