Kit is a detective and sketch artist for the FBI who also takes on other cases. Sherry, his wife, writes up his exploits. They become friends with several other people, some of whom live in their building. Then murders begin happening—three before all is said and done. Kit uses the sketches he makes to prove the murderer was Ilsa, who killed her sister because she was jealous that she'd married the man Ilsa loved. she killed a writer who was going to take her sister's money that Ilsa wanted to inherit. And she killed a friend who had figured out who had killed the sister.

Review - Noose is Drawn, The

The drawings certainly made it easier to follow the characters and the action than is the case with most mysteries. And it was well written—even if it redundantly kept reminding us who loved whom and who had motive. But in the end, the cleverness was all devoted to the murders and the investigation and almost none to the characters themselves so that I really didn't care who did it or why.
