Reviews for The World in His Arms
Review - World in His Arms, The
Boring, with cardboard characters. Based on a part of history— Russian Alaska—that isn't very exciting.

Notes: | Armed Services Edition Marina, a Russian countess, flees an unwanted marriage to a prince and goes to Sitka to stay with her uncle. In San Francisco, she meets Jonathan Clark, an adventurer who poaches furs from Russian Alaska. They fall in love. Marina is dragged to Sitka. Jonathan follows and is arrested. The prince shows up and threatens to have Jonathan hung if Marina doesn't marry him. She does, and returns to Russia. Jonathan becomes wealthy and heads to England for business. He finds out that the prince has died mysteriously (killed by one of Marina's servants for abusing her). Jonathan looks her up and they get married. |
