Comedian/actor Joe E. Brown tells of his experience flying around the Pacific, India/Burma, Middle East, and Italy theaters of WWII, visiting camps and hospitals and putting on shows. He speaks of the importance of faith, although in pretty general terms. His own son was killed in pilot training, so Brown got permission to go on several bombing missions in his place.

Review - Your Kids and Mine

I never cared much for Brown as an actor, but he comes across in this book as a really decent, kind, nice guy. And his accounts of the experiences of American soldiers in the war were moving.
