Notes:Rancher Lew Seely decides he wants Hobe Carew's land, so he sends his men over to take possession. Carew, in defense, shoots one of them, then clears out because he thinks he's wanted for murder. He meets a young woman named Stacey, and they decide to team up. Hobe finds out the man he shot didn't die, so he decides to go home and fight Seely. He joins up with Jim, an Indian. He also sets up Stacey as the owner of a boardinghouse in town with Jim's wife as her help. Carew begins attacking Seely's property. Seely fights back by shooting a couple of his own mean and blaming it on Carew. Seely blackmails an outlaw into killing Carew, but the outlaw shoots Seely and Jim shoots the outlaw. This apparently ends things because the book quickly ends with Carew and Stacey agreeing to get married.

Review - Man from Two Rivers, The

Terrible plot, terrible pacing, terrible characters. On three occasions, Carew gets out of scrapes by explaining to and convincing crooked sheriffs that the people the sheriffs were in cahoots with were lying. Stacey, who was 18, although alone in the wilderness and on the run, immediately trusts Carew and obeys him in everything. There were so many times that Carew was wanted by the law and then not wanted by the law and then wanted by the law and ... I soon lost track and quick caring.
