The author's parents were Vaudeville entertainers, Burt and Rosedale. Her father was a comic dancer while her mother played piano, danced and played straight man. For several years when she was very young, and all through her childhood on vacations, the author toured with them and her sister. The rest of the time, the author was in boarding school.

Review - Mother Wore Tights

A very superficial look at Vaudeville. It hinted at some of the seedier aspects but concentrated mostly on the humorous incidents that happened in her parents' lives. Still, I know more about Vaudeville than I did.
