Notes:Second book in the Cormoran Strike series by J.K. Rowling.

Strike and his secretary Robin are hired to look for a writer who has disappeared after writing a nasty novel that makes fun of everyone in the local publishing industry. Strike finds the man dead, murdered in the exact way of the main character in his novel. After wandering about and interviewing everyone, Strike figures out he was killed by his female editor who not only killed him, but actually wrote the novel—replacing the one the writer actually wrote (which was a lot better and kinder).

Reviews for The Silkworm

Review - Silkworm (2), The

I like the characters of Strike and Robin OK, but I had to wade through a lot of foul language and gore and boring stuff to get to the few good sections about them. If a motive for the murder was ever given, I don't recall reading it.
