Reviews for Alias Jane Smith
Review - Alias Jane Smith
Pretty silly but still readable. It was supposed to encourage women to go to work during the war when most men were off fighting.

| Notes: | Yvonne, a princess of a small European country overrun by the Nazis, makes her escape to America with four elderly cabinet members. She meets Major Bowie, who is instantly attracted to her. Needing to make a living, Yvonne calls herself Jane Smith and begins an interior decorating business. This gets her in hot water with local thugs who are trying to blackmail a man for whom Yvonne is decorating a house. The plot gets complicated, but Yvonne stays brave and saves the day and decides to become a regular American and marry the major. |
