Review - Bitter Woods, The

The book gave me a good insight to the battle and the commanders. It got bogged down with too much detail about the plans of the battle and took too long to get the the battle itself. And there were the inevitable paragraphs filled with the names of fighting units and obscure towns. But it was interesting enough to keep reading. Eisenhower is Ike's son and supported his father in almost every instance with the exception of his failure to announce publicly what his intentions were when he gave the northern half of the battlefield over to the British Montgomery.
