Notes:Jerry Chambers, pilot for the R.A.F. in WWII, sinks a submarine on one of his patrols. Initial evidence indicates that it was British, and Jerry is sent to northern England, to a remote post. That means that he has to move far away from Mona, the barmaid he's been seeing and has half fallen in love with. But six months later, he is assigned to do test flights on a new bombing mechanism. It's dangerous work, but it gets him close to Mona again. They get engaged. The mechanism in Jerry's plane blows up and he's seriously injured, but before he will accept treatment, he insists on reporting because he figured out why the thing wasn't working correctly. Meanwhile, Mona has overheard things in the bar that prove that the sub Jerry sank was German after all. He is soon a hero, for sinking the sub and for helping with the new equipment. He and Mona marry and get sent to Canada to train pilots.
