| Notes: | Albert inherits a tiny, treeless island called Foul Rock, somewhere off the coast of England. On his first visit, he meets the sunbathing Victoria, and the two hit it off. In a fog one day, a Russian spy ship crashed into the rock and gets stranded. When the captain can't get it off the rock, he offers to buy half the island from Albert for a great deal of money. As soon as word gets out, the U.S. Marines land on the other side and buy that from Albert for a great deal more money. The two sides face off and eye each other warily. Albert and Victoria are stuck on the island for security reasons. But after a while, the two forces get used to each other and make friends. Soon they begin sharing everything and even set up a moonshine still together. The still is heated from gas that vents in a cave, and when the hole gets plugged, one of the Russians drops a grenade that ignites the gas beneath the island. It explodes, but not before everyone gets off and goes their separate ways. Albert and Victoria end up together. |
