Reviews for Amy and Roger's Epic Detour
Review - Amy and Roger's Epic Detour
I liked the road trip part. I even liked the characters OK, but it would have been better without the hooking up at the end.

| Notes: | Amy, 17, is left alone in California after her father died in an accident. Her mother moved to their new house in Connecticut and left Amy to show the old house. Her twin brother is in rehab for drug addiction. Her mom needs Amy to drive the family car from California to Connecticut, in company with Roger, son of a family friend, who's a few years older. Amy's mother charted a four-day route, complete with (separate) hotel reservations, but Amy and Roger quickly decide to deviate from the plan and go their own way — Amy to deal with her father's death and Roger to get closure from a relationship that just ended. They meander across the country, seeing sights, visiting places that mean something to them, and fall in love. Amy is able to put the past behind her and get on with her life while Roger gets over the girl. They have to separate at the end, but agree to see what happens in the future, much like their trip. |
