Review - Lost Horizon

This book can only appeal to those who seek to escape from life or who want to justify their laziness. Shangri-La is a place where one can lie back and read or listen to music or watch the scenery forever — and that's it. No amount of time spent there would accomplish anything, and it would soon get very boring. Hilton's idea of the perfect life is to hold moderate beliefs and borrow from various religions those aspects that best fit self-absorbed indulgence.
