| Notes: | Book one in the House of Niccolo series. Niccolo is an apprentice in the trading firm of Charetty Co. in 1459 Flanders. He's clever and ambitious and manages to complete several deals profitable to the firm and marry the widow of the owner. There's a lot of intrigue and competition written like all of Dunnett's books — for the thinking reader. |
