Way back when I first decided to read classics, my sister Linda gave me a list of recommended books from the Racine, Wisconsin Library. I began reading and quickly noticed that I wasn't enjoying many of them. This book was the final straw. I gave up on that list and created one of my own — the list that became the Carp 500. In short, this book is about the worthless lives of a bunch of worthless jerks.
