Review - Lifeboat
I'm not sure how it's possible to find a movie interesting and boring at the same time, but that's my reaction to Lifeboat. The story is a good one — a group of passengers (a woman reporter, a millionaire, an army nurse and several crew members) try to survive in a lifeboat. The problem is, the strongest, smartest and most capable person in the boat happens to be the captain of the U-boat that sank them. Should they trust him or not? Hitchcock fashions the plot in such a way that the viewer doesn't know for sure for much of the time.
But at the same time, the characters in the boat were all a bit flat (or so I found them) and I didn't really, really care what happened to them.
