Review - Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy
Ron Burgundy is the big shot anchorman in 1970s San Diego. He and his all-male news team are shocked when the station hired a pretty woman, Veronica Corningstone, as a journalist. Ron and Veronica hit it off and have a fling, but things get bad when he’s late one night and Veronica subs as anchorman and does great. The two start to feud, and Veronica gets back at Ron by putting a swear word in his script. Ron gets fired and Veronica becomes anchorman. When the big story hits — the birth of a panda at the zoo — Veronica is pushed into the bear pit by a rival newsman. Ron is called to take her place, but decides to rescue her instead of doing the story. He is rehired, and the two get called to work the network news together. There were a bunch a sub-plots (Ron talking with his dog, news teams fighting as gangs) and cameos by famous stars.
Stupid and crude. One funny part featured the weatherman, Brick, who had an I.Q. of 48 and was incredibly stupid.
