Description:Based on the life of real bounty hunter Papa Thorson (Steve McQueen). The movie shows him hunting down several criminals who skipped bail. Meanwhile, one of the cons he picked up years before is chasing him. Thorson's girlfriend Dotty (Kathryn Harrold) is pregnant, but Thorson is afraid of fatherhood. In the final scene, Dotty has the baby in the car in front of the hospital and Papa is there.

Review - Hunter, The

Largely just chase scenes. It was Steve McQueen's final movie—he died of cancer not long after. The scene where the car dives into Chicago River from the Marina Towers is cool. It was filmed the year after I left Moody. I used to bowl in the basement of the Towers.
