| Description: | Auto mechanic Ed Walters (Tim Robbins) falls for Catherine Boyd (Meg Ryan) who happens to be Albert Einstein's (Walter Matthau) neice. Albert thinks Ed would be better for Catherine than the stuffy professor's she's dating, so he and his buddies come up with a scheme to make Ed look like an intellectual. They dig up Albert's old cold fission theory and have Ed present it. Soon, the government and the President are involved. Catherine discovers the trickery, but decides she loves Ed anyway. |
