Review - I Spy
Agent Alex Scott is always overshadowed by Agent Carlos. He’s determined to excel at his next mission and win the girl, Special Agent Rachel Wright. Scott is sent to Budapest to find an invisible spy plane that has been stolen from the U.S. His cover is as an assistant to boxing champ Kelly Robinson. The two men don’t hit it off at all until their original plans go awry and, after a long chase they end up spending a day together in a sewer. They then track bad guy Arnold Gundars, but things go wrong again. Rachel is killed (or so it seems), and Gundars gets away. Kelly goes off to fight for the championship while Alex trails Gundars and finds the plane on top of the city bridge. Gundars is selling it to China, but doesn’t have the code. Rachel shows up and proves to be a traitor. She’s about to torture Alex when Kelly shows up and frees him. The two are trying to get the plane when Carlos arrives. All the bad guys die, but Rachel takes off with the money. Kelly and Alex take off with the plane, but it crashes in the river, preventing a nuclear bomb from going off. They think they are heroes, but Carlos gets all the credit while Alex and Kelly track down Rachel and get her arrested.
The plot was stupid. The whole point was the rivalry between Alex and Kelly. This, at times was cute, but there was so much foul language that it distracted.
