Description:Movie star Bob Harris (Bill Murray) wants to be acting, but instead his agent has sent him to Tokyo to do whiskey commercials. He's alone, bored, and unhappy. He meets Charlotte (Scarlett Johansson), a young wife who's photographer husband leaves her alone in the hotel for days. Bob and Charlotte meet and become friends, sharing their loneliness and need for company. They explore Tokyo nightlife and talk. Because of their age difference and circumstances, and because they're both already (unhappily) married, they can't be together, but, for a time, they fill a void for each other.

Review - Lost in Translation

A slow-moving movie that captures the quiet loneliness that so many feel in the chaos of the world. What they found in each other didn't solve anything, but, for a time, it dulled the pain.
