Review - Lot Like Love, A
Think When Harry Met Sally or Boys and Girls. This movie had the exact same plot. Two people meet when they’re young (this time on an airplane). They go their separate ways, have a bunch of other relationships, get jobs (this time he sells diapers and she’s a photographer) and keep running into each other accidentally or looking each other up when one of them just got dumped. There’s even a New Years Eve scene. In this case, when Oliver’s diaper business crashes, he decides Emily is the love of his life, but when he finds her, she’s engaged. On the eve of her marriage, she breaks up with her fiancé and goes looking for Oliver. Her friend Ellen tells her that Oliver is getting married. She shows up at the wedding, meets him, tries to flee and runs into a plate-glass door. When she wakes up, she finds out it’s his sister’s wedding and she’s not too late.
OK, I’m a sucker, and there was way too much going to bed to make this recommendable, but the main characters were likeable. Throw in the fact that I knew the plot, and I give it a 6.
