| Description: | The least of the three films on the DVD. This one was 20 minutes long. Buster is dumped by his girl and determines to sail around the world. He takes off in a tiny boat. After several days, he spots a whaling ship. The evil captain rules with a strong hand — whenever a crewmember messes up, he is thrown overboard and left to die. Keaton ends up as his steward. Through cleverness and luck, he manages to avoid the captain’s ire for a while, but eventually angers him. Keaton jumps overboard, then sneaks back onboard in the night. He can’t launch the lifeboat, so he cuts a hole in the bottom of the whaler and waits for it to sink under him. Then he wakes up to discover he never left his original boat at all. The whaler and the captain were just a dream. He’s out of provisions and desperate when a girl swims by. He looks back and sees that he has been tied to the dock the entire time. This one was rather silly, with fewer laughs. One scene was funny. The captain of the whaler finds Keaton with one of his guns. Keaton passes this off by walking down the ships ladder into the ocean and returning a few moments later with a fish he shot. |
