Reviews for Maid in Manhattan
Review - Maid in Manhattan
Marisa is a maid in a ritzy NY hotel. Her young son Ty meets senatorial candidate Chris Marshall on an elevator and makes friends with his dog. Chris invites Ty to walk his dog with him, and Ty takes Chris up to the room where his mother is working to ask permission. Meanwhile, another maid convinces Marisa to try on a fancy outfit. When Chris walks in and sees Marisa, he assumes she’s Caroline Lane, the person staying in the room. On the walk Marisa and Chris fall for each other. He invites her to his room for lunch, but the invitation goes to the real Caroline who is thrilled and shows up at Chris’s room, to his consternation.
Chris tracks Marisa down, and still not realizing who she is, asks her to a fancy party. She goes, fully intending to cut off the relationship, but they end up staying the night together in his room. When she leaves in the morning, she meet Caroline who recognizes her as both her room maid and the girl with Chris at the fancy party. She tells hotel management and Marisa gets fired. A few months later, she’s working at another hotel. Chris happens to make a campaign stop there, and Ty convinces Chris to give his mother another chance. The end up together and Chris is elected senator. Marisa gives seminars on motel management.
Sally likes it. I think it’s just silly.
