Cady, who was raised in Africa and home schooled, goes to high school in Evanston. She meets two nerds and becomes their friend, but also meets the Plastics, three cute girls who dominate the school. They accept her and she goes along to hatch a plot with her nerd friends to get back at Regina, the lead Plastic. The plans work, but at the same time, Cady becomes more and more like the Plastics. When she falls for Regina’s boyfriend, things go haywire. Regina frames her for spreading mean rumors, then finds out in return how Cady was just setting her up. Regina runs outside and gets hit by a bus. Cady feels bad about who she’s become. She joins the math team and wins the state championship, then apologizes to the entire school. She becomes normal, the Plastics break up but stay friends and Cady gets the guy.

Stupid and shallow and occasionally crude, but with some funny moments.
