Reviews for Mission: Impossible III
Review - Mission: Impossible III
Brief Synopsis: Ethan Hunt has retired from active duty and is training IMF agents. He’s about the get married when he and his IMF team are sent to rescue an agent captured by Davian, an arms dealer. When the captured agent dies, Ethan’s team determines to capture Davian. They do, but he soon escapes thanks to a traitor in the IMF.
Davian then captures Lindsey, Ethan’s fiancée and forces Ethan to retrieve a secret weapon in exchange for her life. Ethan manages to grab it, but he’s double-crossed by the traitor. He tracks down Lindsey’s location and frees her, but he has a bomb implanted in his scull. She has to electrocute him, then bring him back to life.
What I liked about it: Intense all the way through, with outrageous action. The casting was pretty good.
What I didn’t like about it: Ridiculously implausible all the way through. Toward the end, I quit trying to figure out who the bad guy was and just watched the action.
Bottom line: I gave it a 7. It was fun, but I’ve already forgotten half the plot. I’m sure I’ll forget the rest by tomorrow.
Other comments: There were about 10 people in a theater that seats 300, and all 10 of us were clustered in the back center. Right next to us was Jim and Robin, our next-door neighbors, and their two sons. Ten minutes before we left for the theater, I saw Jim outside mowing his front lawn.
