Review - Mr. & Mrs. Smith
John and Jane Smith are both professional hitmen, but neither of them realize what the other one does for a living. They are both sent to kill Benjamin Diaz, but start shooting at each other without recognizing each other. They soon figure it out, though and go gunning for each other. The chase ends in their house, which they trash as they attempt to kill each other. But when they are face to face, they realize they love each other. Both of their agencies are now out to get them. They decide to get Diaz, thinking it will satisfy their bosses. But Diaz reveals that he was just a trap. When their agencies figured out they were married, they wanted both of them dead; so they sent them after Diaz, hoping they would kill each other. Now they’re on the run. After a long car chase, they end up in a large store where they team up and kill a slew of people gunning for them.
If it sounds incoherent, it was. For some reason, they were the only people in the movie smart enough to wear bullet-proof vests. Pitt and Jolie looked like they had fun making the movie, and there were some fun lines and other gags, but there was really no substance to it.
