Review - Raising Helen
When her sister dies, fashion agent Helen is given custody of her three kids. This is a shock to everybody, especially her older sister Jenny who is super-mom. But Helen wants to do as her sister wishes, so she quits her job and takes an apartment in Queens. They’re struggling along, while Helen begins dating the pastor of the Lutheran school the kids go to. When the teenage daughter, Audrey, ditches prom to go to a hotel with a guy, Helen calls Jenny for help. They get to Audrey in time, but everyone decides the kids would be better with Jenny. Helen gets her fashion job back (she had been working at a used car dealership), but she misses the kids. She determines to give it another go, and Jenny finally agrees it’s the right thing.
Cute. The pastor was likeable, if a bit too liberal.
