Review - Taxi
Washburn is a cop who can’t drive. One too many accidents forces his commanding officer (and former girlfriend) to take away his license.
Belle is a cab driver who dreams of being a NASCAR racer. Her cab is tricked out with all sorts of gimmicks.
When Washburn commandeers her cab to chase some bank robbers, the two become get in trouble. Washburn loses his badge and Belle loses her cab. They decide the only way they can get them back is to catch the thieves.
The thieves in question turn out to be four super models from Brazil. Before they are finally captured, Belle’s boyfriend Jesse dumps her, then meets Washburn’s mom and finds out what’s going on. Everyone turns out happy at the end of the movie. The bank robbers are caught, Belle is driving NASCAR and Washburn is back on the force working undercover with his ex.
Stupid and unfunny. Ann Margret is an old lady and not much of an actress. Queen Latifah supplies some life, but no acting skills. Jimmy Fallon is pathetic in his role. The super models don’t act — they just strut.
