Review - 10 Things I Hate About You

All the boys in the high school want to date Bianca, but her father won't let her date unless her older sister Katarina is also along with a date. The problem is that Kat is mean and anti-social and won't date anyone. New kid Cameron comes up with a plan to date Bianca. He'll get Joey (who thinks he's really special and has a bet that he can sleep with Bianca) to pay Patrick, the school criminal, to date Kat. Kat isn't interested at first, but Patrick perseveres and he and Kat start hanging out. Cameron's plan seems to misfire at first when Bianca starts dating Joey, but she soon figures out what a creep he is and starts liking Cameron. But meanwhile, Kat finds out Patrick was paid to date her and isn't happy. Soon everything works out and all ends well.

A pretty stupid concept, and a pretty crude movie. There was one good scene. Patrick, to convince Kat that he likes her, shows up at Kat's soccer practice and sings "You're Just Too Good to be True" over the intercom. That's pretty funny, but he's also paid the entire marching band to do the instrumentals, and when they kick in halfway through the song, it's pretty cool.
