Description:When an old man who lives by the harbor is killed, Detective Scott Turner (Tom Hanks) inherits Hooch, his huge, sloppy dog. The dog is uncontrollable, but he's also the only eye-witness to the murder. When he chases a man down the street, Turner follows and uncovers a money-laundering operation run out of a sea food plant. He investigates along with his chief (Craig T. Nelson), who is in on the operation along with the owner of the plant. In a shoot-out, Turner is about to be killed when Hooch intervenes. The dog is shot and killed, but Turner is saved. He becomes police chief and marries the local vet (Mare Winningham).

Review - Turner & Hooch

A pretty good movie. Hooch is a bit unbelievable when it comes to how smart he is and how much destruction he can cause. Hanks is good, as always.

This is the movie where the cop (Hanks) gets away from the bad guy by fastening his seat belt and running into a wall, making the bad guy fly through the windshield. Something I'm going to remember if I'm ever car-jacked.
