Review - Whole Ten Yards, The

A sequel to The Whole Nine Yards. Jimmy the hitman is living in Mexico with his hit man wife, Jill. Oz, the dentist, is living in LA with Jimmy’s ex-wife, Cynthia. Jimmy’s getting very domestic and he and Jill are getting very aggravated because they’re trying unsuccessfully to have a baby.

Then Lazlo, the father of one of the guys Jimmy offed in the first movie, gets out of jail. He travels to LA with his son Srabo and his goons. They kidnap Cynthia and threaten Oz that they will kill her if he doesn’t take them to Jimmy. Jimmy runs off, but Lazlo tracks him and shoots up Jimmy’s house.

Jimmy, Oz and Jill head for LA. Cynthia tricks Strabo, into heading for the bus station where Jimmy captures him and attempts to work out a trade — Strabo for Cynthia. But one of Lazlo’s men shows up and kills Strabo by mistake. Then Jimmy and Oz are captured and taken to where Cynthia is being held. Lazlo is about to kill them when Jill shows up. There’s a bunch of silly confusion that isn’t worth going into. In the end, Lazlo’s men are killed and Lazlo is delivered to the police.

It turns out the Jimmy and Cynthia were working together the entire time behind the backs of their respective spouses. It develops that Lazlo is Jimmy’s father. Long before he tore a dollar bill in half. The serial number is the account number of his bank account, worth 200+ million dollars. Jimmy had the one and Cynthia got capture on purpose to find the other. At the end, they find the other half and the two couples get the money. Both women turn out to be pregnant.

There were a few funny lines and scenes, but the movie was just stupid. I remember the first one being pretty funny, but this one wasn’t very good at all.
