Description:Jess Wade (Elvis) is trying to break away from Vince Hackett and his band of thieves. Hackett steals a memorial cannon (supposedly used to fire the last shot in the war for independence) and frames Wade for it. Wade attempts to clear his name while courting his girl and acting as sheriff for his buddy who was shot down by Hackett. In the end, he manages to return the cannon to Mexico, save the town and win the girl — while never actually hitting anybody with any of his many gunshots.

Review - Charro!

Elvis only sings one song — the title song played over the opening credits. He looks OK tough, but his character doesn't actually do anything much. At the final gunfight, one of the bad guys blows himself up with dynamite, another is killed by a runaway cannon and the leader gives himself up. The other three or four bad guys just somehow conveniently disappear.
