| Description: | Harry (Chris Cooper) has a good marriage with Pat (Patricia Clarkson). But he's also having an affair with Kay (Rachel McAdams). Harry introduces Kay to his friend Richard (Pierce Brosnan) who soon falls in love with her and determines to steal her away from Harry. Meanwhile, Harry wants to leave Pat but doesn't want to hurt her, so he decides to poison her, not realizing she's also having an affair with a neighbor. On the night that Harry tries to poison Pat, he also discovers that Kay would rather be with Richard. He hurries home, expecting to find Pat dead, but it turns out she didn't take the medicine containing the poison because she was with her boyfriend. Harry gets rid of the poison. He and Pat decide to stay together and be happy. Richard marries Kay. |
