Description:A group of terrorists plan on kidnapping the U.S. President when he's on a visit to a summit in Spain. The Secret Service replaces the President with a double at the last minute, but the terrorists anticipate this and, while shooting the double and bombing the summit location, they also infiltrate the hotel and grab the President. Thomas Barnes (Dennis Quaid), an agent, with the help of a video taken by a tourist, catches on to the scheme and chases the terrorists and recovers the President, injured but alive. The main events are shown six times, from the vantage point of six different participants (the agent, the tourist, the president, two of the terrorists, and a Spanish cop who was framed by his terrorist girlfriend).

Review - Vantage Point

The plot device made it more interesting than it otherwise would have been. The long car chase at the end of the movie was ridiculous. Two cars race for several miles through a crowded city and never once come to an intersection blocked by cars waiting for a light, never hit a pedestrian and only occasionally bump into other cars.
