Reviews for Good Neighbor Sam
Review - Good Neighbor Sam
Based on a book by Jack Finney that I read several years ago. The movie was very funny, although it ended with a lot of lose-ends.

| Description: | Sam Bissell (Jack Lemmon) is an advertising executive who lives with his wife Min. Min's best friend, Janet, is in the process of divorcing her husband Howard. She moves in next door. Janet finds out that she has inherited $15 million — if she and Howard reconcile. Her cousins show up to investigate, so she convinces Sam to pose as her husband. When Howard shows up, he moves in with Min to fool the private investigator who is parked out front of their homes. Meanwhile, Sam has landed a great account at work because his boss things he had a wholesome marriage — with Janet. There's all sorts of chaos, including a night that Sam and Janet spend painting over their photos as Mr. and Mrs. Bissell on billboards all over San Francisco. In the end, Janet gets her money, gets back with Howard and gives Sam and Min $1 million. |
